The original Cosucra factory, created in 1852, extracts sugar from the beetroot. It is located in Western Belgium, a region with a rich agricultural tradition. From the very beginning and with its own agronomic research center that develops its own chicory seeds, Cosucra has invested considerable effort in research and development.
Youpeas is a young startup based in Lille, France, specialising in vegan cookies and snacks made from chickpeas. We spoke with Youpeas-founder Camille Tomat about the company’s vegan product portfilio and plans for the future. In an interview with TVNZ, famous Hollywood director and vegan advocate James Cameron recently announced that he and Kiwi director Peter Jackson are launching into the vegan protein business. together with their partners Suzy Amis Cameron and Dame Fran Walsh, they founded “PBT New Zealand”, a company aiming to create plant-based meat alternatives and other vegan protein products.
Starting this week, packages of two 12-ounce bottles of JUST’s plant-based liquid egg will be available in select stores in the US. The current best-selling liquid egg had already been launched at ten Costco stores in Southern California. Sales will now expand to the Pacific Northwest.
This summer, McDonald’s Israel will add a new vegan option to the menu. The Big Vegan Burger will feature Nestlé’s Incredible Burger patty made out of wheat and soybean. The burger will be available in select locations in Tel Aviv.
