It beat thousands of nominees to become a finalist.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Alongside a handful of others, the company was named as a &#8220;World-Changing Company of the Year&#8221;. It was also selected as a finalist in the Food category in recognition of its <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.vegconom.de\/usa\/food-and-beverage\/eat-justs-cultured-chicken-launches-this-saturday-in-first-sale-of-cultured-meat\/\">development of cell-cultured meat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Winners and finalists were selected by a panel of <em>Fast Company<\/em> editors and reporters. Last year, it became the first company to receive regulatory approval to <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.vegconom.de\/usa\/food-and-beverage\/eat-justs-cultivated-chicken-approved-a-new-space-race-for-the-future-of-food-is-underway\/\">sell cell-cultured chicken in a restaurant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>JUST Egg is now the fastest-growing egg brand in the US and is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. In October, it announced plans to <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.vegconom.de\/usa\/companies-and-portraits\/just-is-building-120m-just-egg-facility-in-singapore-will-next-focus-on-cultured-meat\/\">build a $120M production facility<\/a> in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An idea is just an idea, but it takes the resilience and intelligence of a team to turn it into something meaningful that can make more of the food we eat healthier for us and for our planet.
