Fry Family Foods<\/a> announces it is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank<\/a> of Orange County to provide 5,000 plant-based burgers to people in Southern California who are struggling with hunger and homelessness.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The global plantbased brand<\/a> is donating the burgers to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, which distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 300 community and partner programs throughout Orange County. Last year, the nonprofit provided enough food for a record 26.5 million meals and fed more than 250,000 people each month.<\/div>\n

\u201cWhen we saw that 112,000 children in Orange County may go hungry every month and that 22% of seniors are also at risk of going hungry, we knew we had to do something. Through their Kids Caf\u00e9, School Pantry and Senior Grocery programs, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is committed to providing meals to those in need in the Southland and we\u2019re honored to be a part of that effort,\u201d states Fry\u2019s International Marketing Director, Tammy Fry, whose father founded the company<\/a> nearly three decades ago.<\/div>\n
