{"id":135925,"date":"2024-07-11T10:00:03","date_gmt":"2024-07-11T09:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.vegconom.de\/usa\/?p=135925"},"modified":"2024-07-11T11:56:08","modified_gmt":"2024-07-11T10:56:08","slug":"malibu-oatly-dairy-free-pina-colada-flavoured-soft-serve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.vegconom.de\/usa\/food-and-beverage\/sweets-snacks\/malibu-oatly-dairy-free-pina-colada-flavoured-soft-serve\/","title":{"rendered":"Malibu and Oatly Partner to Launch Vegan Pi\u00f1a Colada-Flavoured Soft-Serve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/malibudrinks.com\/\">Malibu<\/a>, a brand of white rum-based coconut liqueur, has partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/oatly.com\/\">Oatly<\/a> to launch a dairy-free, pi\u00f1a colada-flavoured soft-serve with a touch of alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>The Pi\u00f1a Oatlada is expected to have particular appeal for Gen Z, who are said to be searching for <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.vegconom.de\/usa\/society\/majority-gen-z-favor-vegan-diet\/\">plant-based alternatives<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winebusiness.com\/news\/article\/282153\">lower-alcohol products,<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mondelezinternational.com\/stateofsnacking\/\">new flavours<\/a>. The oat-based soft serve contains just 1.5% ABV (alcohol by volume) and is vegan-friendly.<\/p>\n<p>Oatly and Malibu will celebrate the launch by opening a pop-up bar called Paradise Arches in Shoreditch, London. From July 12 to August 2, the bar will serve light bites and cocktails inspired by the two brands. There will also be a complementary Pi\u00f1a Oatlada for each guest, served in a unique cocktail glass-shaped waffle cone. Losses improved compared to Q1 2023, and CEO Jean-Christophe Flatin said the company was working towards &#8220;structural, consistent profitable growth&#8221;.
